| What is Shared Branching and what does it mean to me? |

Three networks make up the National CU Service Centers® Network – a cooperative sharing of branches allowing credit union members to benefit from a personal transaction experience at locations other than their hometown credit union.
Some interesting facts:
- There are over 6,000 Shared Branch location, including 2,100 7-Eleven® V-com® Unit Kiosks
- Guest members of over 1,300 Credit Unions use shared branching today
- Over 110 million transactions are processed per year
- 46 states have locations
- International locations include – Puerto Rico, Japan, South Korea, Italy and Germany
- Members of USSFCU can look for “The Swirl” to know that they are in a shared branch location able to assist with their account transactions

Why would I visit a CU Service Centers® Location? |
 |
| You can perform many of your financial transactions and obtain services at branch locations or other credit unions belonging to the network. |

| Can I use a CU Service center while traveling? |
 |
| Yes! No matter where you may be on the road, your Credit Union is now as close as the nearest CU Service Centers® location. With so many convenient locations, you will be able to access your USSFCU account even if you travel or relocate hundreds of miles from the Credit Union.

| Is there a Surcharge Fee for a shared branch transaction at a CU Service Centers® Location? |
 |
Most regular transactions such as deposits and cash withdrawals are performed without charge. Some fees are assessed for specific transactions performed and services obtained, at a CU Service Centers® location. You may refer to the Member Fee Schedule required to be posted at the location you visit. |

| How do I access my account? |
 |
You will need three things when you visit a CU Service Centers® Location.
- The name of your Credit Union – We are known as United States Senate FCU for this purpose
- Your Account Number at your Credit Union
- A current, un-expired VALID U.S. Government issued picture identification with signature
- State issued driver’s license or identification card (temporary extensions are not accepted)
- U.S. Passport
- City, State, County or Federal I.D. card or badge
- U.S. Armed Forces Identification Card or the new Smart Identification card without signature
- Resident Alien Card issued by the INS
Have these items ready to present to the teller. This will save you time! All transactions require identification.

| Are there any transactional limits that I should be aware of? |

Cash Withdrawals
CU Service Centers® may limit cash withdrawals to $500 per day, regardless of your own Credit Union’s policy.
Holds and Deposit Funds
The funds that you deposit at the CU Service Centers® Locations may not be available for immediate withdrawal from your Credit Union account.
HOLDS are placed by your own credit union on items you deposit through the CU Service Centers® Locations by your credit union’s Hold Policies. REMEMBER – THE LOCATION DOES NOT PLACE THE HOLDS ON YOUR ACCOUNT, YOUR CREDIT UNION DOES.
The CU Service Centers® Location CANNOT REMOVE A HOLD PLACED ON YOUR ACCOUNT. YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR CREDIT UNION.
Stop Payments
The CU Service Centers® Location CANNOT accept a stop payment request on your checking account. YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR OWN CREDIT UNION. If you need to place a stop payment on a check you obtained from the CU Service Centers® Location such as a cashier’s check, money order or official check, you must contact the CU Service Centers® Location where you obtained the check. There will be a waiting period not to exceed 90 days before funds can be released. You may be required to complete an indemnity agreement. Please refer to the CU Service Centers® Location fee schedule.

You can find locations and availability of CU Service Centers® by using the Service Locator on this web site (www.ussfcu.org) , and on the internet at www.cuswirl.com, or by calling (888) 287-9475. With CU Service Centers, you can use your valuable credit union membership at international locations!

Services of the Swirl
Deposits and Withdrawals
Deposits can be made in cash or checks to your accounts that your credit union has made available to you through the CU Service Centers® Network. Rolled coins may not be accepted at all locations. Some locations may have automated coin machines available.
Check Deposits
- Payroll Check - If you deposit a payroll check, make sure you have your payroll check stub with you to verify your deposit.
- All checks must be U.S. dollars and payable through the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank
- You must properly endorse all checks presented for deposit
The CU Service Centers® Location reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any item presented for deposit or payment.
EXCEPTION: Joint Filed Income tax refund checks made payable to two parties will only be accepted if both parties are joint owners on the Account and both parties have personally endorsed the item or if the check is payable to two parties and only one is the the owner of the account, both must be present, both must endorse the check and both must have proper Valid Identification..
Withdrawals
- Cash withdrawals may be limited to $500 per day regardless of your own credit union's policy.
- Check withdrawals (i.e.issuing an official check) are limited to your total amount of available funds authorized by your own credit union.
Loan Payments and Loan Advances
- Loan Payments can be made by cash or check, however, there may be restrictions placed on your loan account by your own credit union for access through the CU Service Centers® Network.
- Loan Advances can be made by cash or check, however, the cash limit may be set at $500.00 per day.
- Check withdrawals may be limited to the amount you may withdraw from your account through a CU Service Centers® location.
Visa and/or MasterCard Cash Advances
You can request a cash advance on your VISA or Master Card account if the service is available. Please have your VISA or Master Card plastic card with you when you visit the CU Service Centers ® location. The card company the location will support will be posted on the door.
Transfers Between Sub-Accounts
- Transfers can be processed within your own credit union account.
- Transfers into different accounts are allowed as long as you are an owner. The transfers will be handled as a deposit/payment and a withdrawal/loan advance.
Statement Prints
Referred to as transaction history. The last ten transactions will be printed including your balance. This service may not be available at all locations.
Fax Services and Photocopies
These services are available at most CU Service Centers® locations.
Money Orders
This service may not be available at all CU Service Centers® locations, please call first before visiting the location. .
Traveler Checks
This service may not be available at all CU Service Centers® locations, please call first before visiting the location. .
Notary Services
This service may not be available at all CU Service Centers® locations, please call first before visiting the location. .
Change of Address or Phone Number
If available, you can complete a change of address and phone number request form. The CU Service Centers® Location will fax this information to your credit union to update your information. Please contact your own credit union to confirm that your information has been updated.
Loan Services
If available, you can complete a loan application that the CU Service Centers® Location will fax to your credit union.
Your credit union will contact you directly on the status of your loan. |
