Happy New Year from your Credit Union! This promises to be an exciting year of change for the Credit Union as we progress technologically to the next level to provide you with a comprehensive banking experience anywhere and anytime. Whether it’s making deposits from the comfort of your home to paying your bills with your smartphone, your Credit Union will be there with a new global branch accessible by computer, mobile device or tablet. Be sure and follow our progress as we detail it online.
The Annual Meeting of Members has changed as well. Starting in 2012 the Annual Meeting of Members will be held each year by the end of May with the 2012 date set for Wednesday, May 23, 2012. A separate notification will be sent by March 9, 2012 announcing the Annual Meeting of Members and the location of the meeting.
This past year was yet another economically challenging one. Consumer confidence remained tentative throughout the greater part of the year finally making modest gains toward the very end. Despite this, I am pleased to report that your Credit Union remained safe, sound and strong. Our commitment to strong capital, prudent practices and strategic innovation will enable us to move forward with planned service innovations while remaining well capitalized and able to meet the financial needs of all of our members.
Some things do not change. Seventy-six years ago we served the Senate from an office on Capitol Hill. Today we continue to serve the Senate from an office on Capitol Hill but we additionally serve the employees and families of over 130 Select Employee Groups located throughout the United States and the world with our continued commitment to provide superior member service and the best value for financial products. Please refer to our 2012 privacy notice and 2012 fee schedule (effective March 1) online reflecting minimal changes to offset costs to the Credit Union.
