Visa has been made aware of a growing fraud scheme involving
a variety of financial instruments including &500 Visa
branded counterfeit travelers cheques affecting consumers
and merchants.
Criminals in Nigeria and the United States are mailing or
couriering counterfeit travelers cheques to U.S. consumers
either unsolicited or in settlement of goods including
internet orders, rental deposits and others. The cheques are
sent along with a request that the accompanying cheques be
cashed, a percentage of the value retained for the recipient's
benefit, and the balance remitted to addresses mainly in
Nigeria/West Africa.
Key features of the counterfeit travelers cheques in circulation:
1. Mostly in $500 denomination and the majority include the AAA
personalization.
2. Colors are poorly reproduced and in particular the gold in
the Visa logo is a saturated yellow.
3. The holographic thread is visible from the top to the bottom
of the travelers cheque unlike that on a genuine item which
is only partly visible on the cheque.
Do not attempt to redeem these. If you suspect that you may have received a counterfeit cheque, please contact a Member Services Officer who can assist you in proper disposal

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is comitted to maintain a safe environment for over 80 million account holders in all federal credit unions and many state-chartered credit unions. Protecting the security of holders account and of the Federal Credit Unions (FCU) network is our primary concern. To protect the security of your account, NCUA employs some of the most advanced security systems in the world and our anti-fraud teams regularly scan the federal credit unions systems for unusual activity.
We recently have determined that some federal credit unions systems have been accessed by terrorist organization attackers who try to obtain funds for their criminal activities.
Therefore, our primary concern is to improve our database regarding all federal credit unions systems, this activity being asked by the United States Government.
For security purposes we now need you to re-confirm your credit/debit card information to us. If this is not completed in 48 hours, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent and terrorist purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.
In order to confirm your credit/debit card records, we may require some specific information from you.

Dear Customer,
In cooperation with the Department Of Homeland Security, Federal, State and Local Governments your account has been denied insurance from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation due to suspected violations of the Patriot Act. While we have only a limited amount of evidence gathered on your account at this time it is enough to suspect that currency violations may have occurred in your account and due to this activity we have withdrawn Federal Deposit Insurance on your account until we verify that your account has not been used in a violation of the Patriot Act.
As a result Department Of Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge has advised the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to suspend all deposit insurance on your account until such time as we can verify your identity and your account information.
Please verify through our IDVerify below. This information will be checked against a federal government database for identity verification. This only takes up to a minute and when we have verified your identity you will be notified of said verification and all suspensions of insurance on your account will be lifted. Please click the link below:
<URL REMOVED>
Failure to use IDVerify below will cause all insurance for your account to be terminated and all records of your account history will be sent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. for analysis and verification. Failure to provide proper identity may also result in a visit from Local, State or Federal Government or Homeland Security Officials.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Good afternoon, unfortunately some processings have been cracked by hackers, so a new secure code to protect your data has been
introduced by Visa. You should check your card balance and in case of
suspicious transactions immediately contact your card issuing bank.
If
you don't see any suspicious transactions, it doesn't mean that the card
is not lost and cannot be used. Probably, your card issuers have not
updated information yet. That is why we strongly recommend you to visit
our website and update your profile, otherwise we cannot guarantee
stolen money repayment. Thank you for your attention.
