    The 2017 Annual Meeting of the members of United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 12pm in the Hart Building, Room H-902.

    In May 2017, three (3) seats on the USSFCU Board of Directors will expire. Pursuant to Article V of the USSFCU Bylaws, a Nominating Committee was appointed and the following candidates were nominated to fill these vacancies: 

    Bertie Bowman 2016

    Bertie Bowman (Incumbent)


    • Served as a Member of the Credit Committee in 1966; served as the Chairman for six years
    • Served as a Board Member of USSFCU, beginning in 1975; served consecutively for 42 years
    • Served as Chairman of the Board for two terms
    • Served as Co-Chairman of the Assets/Liability Management Committee
    • Served as Chairman of the Credit, Personnel and Supervisory Committees
    • Served as Co-Chairman of the By-Laws Committee
    • Currently President of his own business
    • Current Position: Hearing Coordinator, Senate Foreign Relations Committee 

    Chris Dey 2016

    Christopher C. Dey (Incumbent)


    • Member of the Board of Directors since 2002
    • Currently serves as Board Treasurer
    • Served as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Board
    • Served as Chairman of the Supervisory and Nominating Committees
    • Served as a Volunteer on the Asset/Liability Management, Supervisory and Nominating Committees
    • Currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate
    • Georgetown University (B.S.B.A.) and New York University (M.B.A.)

    Tony Zagami 2016

    Anthony J. “Tony” Zagami (Incumbent)


    • USSFCU member since 1967
    • Former Chairman of USSFCU and served on the Personnel, Supervisory, and ALCO Committees as well as CUSS CUSO
    • Currently serves as Director and Chairman of the Board of the GPO Federal Credit Union
    • Retired General Counsel Emeritus for the GPO
    • Served on the USSFCU Board of Directors in various capacities from 1986 until 2002 and from 2006 until 2011
    • Former member of the Board of Directors of the CUNA DC Credit Union League
    • Started as a U. S. Page, and served with the Secretary of the Senate, Senate Sergeant-at- Arms, Architect of the Capitol, and various Congressional Committees •
    • University of Maryland School of Business and Public Administration (B.S.) and George Mason University School of Law (J.D.)

    Nominations for vacancies may also be made by signed petition by 1% (332) of the members. Petitions must be received by the Nominating Committee no later than Monday, April 3, 2017.

    The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled. For a copy of the petition packet or the bylaws click here.
