2025 Holiday Donations - Maryland Food Bank
Published: December 8, 2025
At the United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) we are more than just a financial institution – we are a non-profit that holds true the core credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” by reaching out to support our local communities and those in need.
In this spirit, USSFCU is pleased to announce our series of year-end donations beginning with our $10,000 donation to the Maryland Food Bank.
The Maryland Food Bank was established in 1979 as the first food bank on the East Coast. While Maryland is ranked as the 3rd wealthiest state in the country according to US News, 1 in 3 Marylanders may face food insecurity. The Maryland Food Bank seeks to not only address the immediate effects of hunger through their food distribution programs, but to also assist those in need to build long-term paths to self-sufficiency through education, workforce development, and advocacy. During FY2025, MD Food Bank distributed over 43.6 million meals to hungry Marylanders.
