2025 Holiday Donations - Capital Area Food Bank (Washington, DC)

The United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) is pleased to announce our $10,000 donation to Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, DC.

The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization within the Washington DC metropolitan area working to solve hunger and problems associated with food insecurity such as nutrition and wellness education. Working with over 400 local partners, the Capital Area Food Banks sources the food to provide more than 60 million meals to those struggling with hunger every year.

With over 370,000 federal employees calling the DMV metropolitan area home, the Capital Area Food Bank stepped up during the recent government shutdown by launching five new distribution centers specifically for federal employees in order to support an additional 1,500 households in need.
