2025 Holiday Donations - Animal Welfare League of Alexandria

Through community and employee donations, the United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) dropped off overflowing bins of pet food, treats, and toys to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA).

The AWLA’s mission is to inspire compassion for all living beings, to provide shelter to animals in need, and to promote adoptions, animal welfare and responsible pet ownership in our community. Since 1946, the AWLA has been a resource for the Alexandria community and a shelter for homeless animals. Every year the AWLA cares for more than 2,000 animals big and small from dogs and cats to rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and chinchillas. Our community donations will go on to support the animals in need awaiting their furrever homes this pawliday season.

Thank you to Ms. Kathleen Harrington of our Lending Support department for advocating for the animals and encouraging the USSFCU pet food and toy drive.
