Marketing, Money, & Credit - USSFCU at Dorothy Hamm Middle School
Published: June 2, 2026
The United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) recently headed to Dorothy Hamm Middle School to get students ready for their summer spending with a dive into “Marketing, Money, & Credit!”
Across two days and six classes, we challenged students to think about why they buy what they buy. We discussed how personal values — whether it's a passion for sports, art, or future travel — should guide their financial choices, and how savvy marketing often tries to steer those choices elsewhere. The students even got a behind-the-scenes look at how businesses use the "Four P’s" (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) to attract customers.
To round out the experience, the presentation covered credit essentials, emphasizing the importance of maintaining healthy credit habits. By bridging the gap between spending and borrowing, USSFCU aims to empower the next generation to become educated, confident consumers.
