Since 2002, the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run has raised over $11.5 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, helping to provide life-saving treatments for children across the nation. In 2024, more than 50 Senators signed on as HRCs—and your leadership can help us make 2025 our biggest year yet!

  • No Obligations: Serving as an HRC is a symbolic gesture of support—there’s no requirement to speak at or attend any events associated with the race. Your participation is simple but impactful.

Honorary Race Chair Commitment Overview

By signing on as an Honorary Race Chair (HRC) for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Capitol Hill Competition, Senators show their support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in a symbolic capacity with no obligations or appearances required.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • The role is purely honorary—there are no commitments to speak, attend events, or issue public statements.
  • There is no expectation for donations or fundraising efforts from the Senator or their office.
  • The event will not reference official Senate titles in any promotional materials, aside from appropriate race-related references.
  • We will honor any specific requests regarding how the Senator’s name is presented or referenced.
