Brewing Community Connections: Joe on the Go at Bowman, June 2025

The United States Senate Federal Credit Union greeted Alexandria commuters outside the Bowman Branch at Braddock Station on June 18, 2025 with coffee, donuts, and fun giveaways. Despite the credit union’s namesake at the Senate, USSFCU’s membership eligibility extends beyond Capitol Hill to our community neighbors with over 100 paths to membership including Select Employment Groups and sponsored American Consumer Council, Virginia Chapter (VACC) membership.

Despite the oppressive humidity, USSFCU staff welcomed community members to stop by with energizing music, enthusiastic spirits, and the enticement of our $300 bonus for new members. Curious passers-by learned about the many benefits of credit union membership starting with our mission to improve our members’ financial wellness, to our exceptionally low loan rates, reduced and eliminated fees, and ongoing promotions.

The event was a wonderful success - Laura, Senior Member Service Representative, reported from the Bowman teller desk: Our neighbors across the Braddock complex have been stopping by today to gather more information about membership, stating that it was all the buzz in their offices.

We look forward to engaging with our community again soon with another Joe on the Go.
