USSFCU at Alexandria Community Cookouts - Andrew Adkins

On July 17, the United States Senate Federal Credit Union (USSFCU) joined our neighbors at an Alexandria Community Cookout held at Andrew Adkins, 1200 Block of Wythe St.

This annual tradition is put on by the Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) and began as a small departmental project to increase program participation and outreach in Alexandria’s underserved communities. The small project has exploded to become a major community initiative with nine summer cookout events, over 50 participating organizations, and an outreach of over 20,000 community residents served since it began.

While the Alexandria Police served up hotdogs and hamburgers, USSFCU served information on our financial education resources and initiatives through the USSFCU Foundation to our community neighbors.
