Get More from Your USSFCU Membership
Published: August 14, 2026
Being a USSFCU member means more than having a checking account, loan, or credit card. As a member-owned, not-for-profit credit union, USSFCU is built to serve its members—and your membership gives you access to tools, resources, education, and benefits that can support you through many different stages of your financial life.
Here are a few ways to make sure you’re getting more from your membership.
Put Your Digital Banking Tools to Work
myUSSFCU Online and Mobile Banking can do much more than show your balance. Members can pay bills, review statements, transfer money between USSFCU and outside accounts, apply for loans and credit cards, open additional accounts, and manage cards from one place.
Card Management also lets you set alerts, control transactions, and lock or unlock eligible USSFCU debit and credit cards—giving you more control over how your cards are used.
Member tip: Take a few minutes to explore your myUSSFCU dashboard. You may find tools you didn’t realize were already available to you.
Check More Than Your Balance—Check Your Credit
Planning to finance a vehicle, buy a home, apply for credit, or simply improve your financial health? USSFCU members can access their FICO® Score through myUSSFCU Online and Mobile Banking.
The FICO® Score Simulator can also help you explore how different financial decisions could affect your score without actually changing it. You can test scenarios such as applying for new credit or taking on a mortgage to see the potential impact before making a decision.
Take USSFCU with You
Your membership doesn’t have to stay close to Capitol Hill. USSFCU participates in nationwide networks that provide access to more than 100,000 surcharge-free ATMs, along with thousands of participating shared branch locations for certain transactions.
Combined with mobile deposit, Online and Mobile Banking, telephone banking, and bank-to-bank transfers, that means you can continue using USSFCU even when work, family, travel, or a move takes you somewhere new.
Use the Financial Education Available to You
You don’t have to wait until you have a financial question to start learning.
USSFCU offers weekly webinars covering topics such as saving, credit, fraud prevention, borrowing, and financial planning. Members can also explore financial literacy articles, planning resources, calculators, credit education, and other tools through the USSFCU Foundation’s online financial education resources.
And when you want more personalized help, USSFCU’s partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness gives members access to free, confidential financial counseling. GreenPath can help with budgeting, debt management, credit questions, financial planning, and other money concerns.
Check In on Current Member Opportunities
USSFCU regularly features special offers and opportunities for members, so it can pay to check the Promotions section of the website and keep an eye on member communications. Current opportunities may include special financing offers, card promotions, savings opportunities, educational resources, or other limited-time benefits.
One current example is the Member Referral Program. Members can generate a personal referral link and share USSFCU with eligible friends, family members, coworkers, and others. When a referral joins using that link and completes the program requirements, the referring member and new member can each receive a $50 gift card.
