Dorothy Hamm Middle School, Financial Education & Marketing Presentations

Last week, USSFCU visited the Dorothy Hamm Middle School in Arlington, VA to appear as guest speakers for a series of presentations on financial literacy and marketing. Over two days we had the opportunity to speak with three classes totaling over 90 students on the importance of budgets, building responsible credit, and how brands market to consumers.

The students enthusiastically asked and answered questions with the reward of Capitol Dome stress relievers, coin purses, and reusable straws for their participation. In addition to these fun giveaways, students went away with folders full of information about Banzai! Best Life Wellness’ youth financial education programs and the credit union to share with their parents and guardians.

We thank Ms. Ali and Ms. Allen for inviting USSFCU to speak with their students on these critical fundamental financial skills and marketing awareness.
