Fraud Alert: Phone, Text & Email Scams

Be on high alert for any fraudulent activity and report it to us immediately.

We have had reports of fraudulent notifications being sent to members through phone calls, text messages, and emails, posing as account transaction alerts.

USSFCU will never send unsolicited emails, calls, or text you to ask for your:

  • One-time verification code
  • PIN number
  • Username or password
  • Personally identifiable information (account number, social security number, birth date, etc.)

Or any other identification details.

If you receive a message you feel might be fraudulent, do not provide any information, hang up, and independently call 800.374.2758 to speak to a team member at our Member Services Contact Center or log in to your account at my.ussfcu.org to verify transactions.

Please report any fraudulent activity immediately through email, secured messaging in online banking or by phone.

Prepaid Cards

USSFCU offers a variety of prepaid cards that members can use wherever Visa® is accepted. Prepaid cards provide a more convenient and safer way to pay than cash. Interested? Find the card that fits your needs below and pick one up at one of our convenient branches.

NOTE: Any postage incurred for delivering cards by mail will be paid by the member placing the order.

Gift Card: Prepaid Visa® gift cards are accepted at virtually any merchant that accepts Visa® cards. Available in amounts from $10—$1,000. Head over to any USSFCU branch and pick one up today!

Reloadable Card: Need help sticking to your budget? Try a prepaid reloadable card that is available anywhere Visa® debit cards are accepted and allows you to control how much you spend. It’s a more secure alternative to cash.


Foreign Currency

Planning on traveling overseas and need to exchange currency. Our online service makes it easy and with delivery service, you can have your currency sent directly to you or an address you specify.

  • A credit union staff member will call to verify your order details before it will be shipped
  • There is a $20 fee once you submit your order
  • The expected arrival time is around 1-2 business days via FedEx
  • A signature is required when the package is delivered

Wire Transfers

Need to send money? USSFCU members can move funds easily and securely with a wire transfer. Wire transfer processing hours are 10:00 am and 2:00 pm at any of our three, convenient locations or by contacting Member Services at 800.374.2758.

International wires will need to be received no later than 1:30 pm and verified no later than 2 pm for same day processing. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are currently unable to process any request for International Wires for Russian or Ukrainian banks or currency at this time. 


Visa® Account Updater (VAU)

VAU enables the secure exchange of card numbers and expiration date updates between USSFCU and participating card-on-file merchants. The VAU service takes the most recent Visa® card number and expiration date in our system and updates this information with merchants that have those specific cards on file.** Visa® automatically enrolls USSFCU members in this service. However, you can opt out at any time by contacting Card Services at  or by calling 800.374.2758.

*Usually a purchase fee of up to $6.95 may be charged by the credit union. Monthly inactivity fee of $2.95 after 12 consecutive months of inactivity. Lost/stolen replacement card fee of $5.00.
