Mobile check deposit is fast, convenient, and safe when you follow a few simple steps to protect your information.


What Is Mobile Check Deposit?

Mobile check deposit is a feature within the myUSSFCU Mobile App that allows you to remotely deposit personal, business, and government checks into your USSFCU checking or savings account by snapping a photo of the front and back of your check. It’s designed to save you time, reduce branch visits, and make banking on the go easier.


How Mobile Check Deposit Works

Thanks to the Check Clearing for the 21st Century Act, financial institutions like USSFCU can process checks electronically using secure images instead of physical copies. Through a process called remote deposit capture, your check image is encrypted, transmitted, and processed quickly — without needing to mail or drop off the original.


How to Deposit a Check in the myUSSFCU Mobile App

Follow these simple steps for a successful deposit:

  1. Log in to the myUSSFCU Mobile App
    Select Deposit Checks from the main menu.
  2. Endorse Your Check
    Sign the back and write:
    “For Mobile Deposit Only at USSFCU”
  3. Take Clear Photos
    Use good lighting and a dark, flat background. Make sure:
    • All four corners of the check are visible
    • The image isn’t blurry or shadowed
    • The writing is legible
  4. Verify Your Deposit Details
    Confirm the check amount and choose the correct USSFCU account before submitting.
  5. Submit & Save
    Tap Deposit and keep your paper check in a secure location until you see confirmation that funds have cleared. Once confirmed, shred the check to protect your information.
